Our Courses:

Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant program is a three-quarter program that teaches learners to be multi-skilled with associated health workers specifically educated to conduct in outpatient environments, such as physician's office and hospitals, clinic as well as community practices and administrative and clinical procedures.  The health care industry is slated to expand because of technological advances in medicine and the growth and aging of the population. EKG Technician

 EKG Tech is an important member of the patient care team working primarily with patients who experience cardio-related symptoms. This course incorporates theory and practice, encompassing a significant history of core and lung anatomy and physiology, procedures of heart disease and disease, medical terminology, and patient encounter legal and ethical considerations. Nurse Aide/Assistant (CNA) - CNA Training Queens

This program offers learners with essential guidance on the patient's health, wellness, nutrition, and mobility.   • prepare, start and discontinue hospital dialysis therapy in both hemodialysis and main venous catheters

  • draw blood and insert intravenous catheters

  • provide wound care, including the removal of sutures and staples
  • operate dialysis equipment and readjust treatment parameters as defined by protocols and patient prescriptions
  • perform emergency room skills such as splint and cast immobilizations, crutch training, throat cultures, urinalysis and oxygen therapy

 

 

 

Pharmacy Technician (PTCB

The Pharmacy Technician program teaches learners to help pharmacists with prescription handling and pharmacy department maintenance. A pharmacy technician can recognize, evaluate and deliver a prescriber's requested pharmaceutical products. Pharmacy technician responsibilities may differ, but prevalent responsibilities (conducted under a certified pharmacist's guidance) may include:

  • Processing instructions for prescription
  • Receiving signed, faxed and electronic prescriptions and verifying that prescription data is precise and total
  • Adjudication and processing of dismissed requests by third parties
  • Updating employee status data in a computerized database
  • Dispensing published prescription instructions after prescription
  • Understanding legal requirements
  • Triaging medication
  • Assisting with MTM duties
  • Sterile and non-sterile compounding
  • Maintaining a clean, safe working environment compliant with state board pharmacy regulations
