Healthy Habits to Live Healthier

Following healthy habits, you can statistically extend your life expectancy by up to 10 years! That's much extra time to live a healthy life, and you can add it to your life by following a few simple, healthy habits:

live a healthy life

Never skip the breakfast

Breakfast is the most important and healthy meal of the day. Still, many of us jump it thinking that it will help us lose pounds. If you skip breakfast, your blood sugar and other nutrient levels will drop, causing you to lose the necessary nutrition and energy for the rest of the day. Breakfast eaters have a more positive attitude towards school and work, and they perform better.

Eat something fresh

Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. The fruits are refreshing and juicy, so they give you the water you need to stay hydrated, and they also provide the vitamins and nutrients that snacks do not contain. They are good and taste sweet - and some contain anti-oxidants that prevent aging.

Eat regular meals

Skipping meals can lead to uncontrolled hunger, which often leads to overeating. If you are starving, it is also tempting to forget about proper nutrition. Eating between meals can help to reduce hunger, but do not eat so much that your snack becomes a whole meal.

Stop smoking

Studies show that quit smoking, you can restore your heart function to that of a non-smoker within a few years. You breathe more comfortable, reduce your chances of heart disease, cancer and more. However, you knew that, right? Also, if you are not a smoker, stay away from those who do. Second-hand smoking is a killer too - do not be afraid to gently tell people that you would prefer them if they did not smoke around you.

Exercise daily

You do not have to be a professional athlete; do 15-20 minutes of exercise every day. Take a walk, dance to some music, go jogging, play volleyball on the beach, whatever is needed to keep your heart pumping for a while.

Sleep

At least 8 hours of sleep a night can prolong your life. Your body has time to recharge every night to keep it fresh and ready for the onslaught of the next day.

Give yourself a little time each day.

Take some time for your "busy" schedule. First, eliminate all forms of intrusion. Then close your eyes, take a deep breath, and let your thoughts drift downstream like a tree-trunk carried by the river. You can practice meditation or relax in a hot aromatherapy bath.
